ESSENTIA EMR – DOCUMENT TEMPLATE CREATION

A paperless world doesn’t mean a document-free one. In this session you will learn how to make the transition from paper charts to an electronic medical record. You will discover how to create document templates that tell your system how a specific document should be handled. We will cover creating the document, using document codes to save valuable time by automatically filling in required information from your database, and inserting staff and client signature fields. Your journey to a paper-free world starts here!  (Unless you want to take notes, then bring a pad.)

ESSENTIA FINANCIALS

Come join us for FOCUS 2014 as we share the long awaited enhanced Essentiafinancials.   Due to a multitude of factors, such as the Federally mandated Meaningful Use,  our development attention has previously been directed away from our core financial applications.  However, we are now please to share with you the new look, feel and functionality of our renewed financial applications.   The applications are all web based with easy “point and click” navigation.  The interface is clean and intuitive and allows for the storage of scanned supporting materials.  At FOCUS 2014, we will showcase the new General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Payroll modules.    Payroll development is just now beginning; however, our goal is to showcase each of these modules at the conference.  While the work continues we want you to share in our excitement and have the opportunity to view the new applications.   Sign up to become one of the 5 agencies selected to join us in beta testing the new software and receive it months before general availability which is currently scheduled for Q3 2014.    If you’re responsible for your agencies financials then you will want to join us in Las Vegas for FOCUS 2014.

ICD 10/ DSM 5 PREPAREDNESS

Two of the major events for 2014 will be the transition from DSM-IV to DSM-5 and the transition from ICD-9 to ICD-10. This session will review how Essentia will address both transitions. For clinical staff, the session will focus on the diagnostic workflow and how the system will handle the transition date (documentation pre- and post- transition date).  For back office staff, the session will focus on configuration workflow and how the system will handle the transition date for each payer and reporting.

CLINICAL / SUPPORT STAFF EVENT ENTRY

The entry of services in the system plays an integral role at each agency due to the impact on clinical, claims, and accounting processes. This session will review the portal event entry and confirmation functionality for both clinical and support staff. We will cover default values, validation differences between clinical and support entry points, and save requirements. Part of our discussion will also focus on what happens to services once they have been entered in portal event entry and confirmation.

REVENUE CYCLE MANAGEMENT

Revenue cycle management is the process that manages claims processing, payment and revenue generation. It entails using technology to track the claims process at every point of its life, so the healthcare provider can follow the process and address any issues, allowing for a steady stream of revenue. This session will review a model of routine business office practices.
